Kyper House P1

Within the forested landscape of the Troodos Mountains in Kyperounta village, Cyprus, Kyper House P1 is envisioned as a contemporary mountain retreat that responds sensitively to its natural surroundings. The residence blends modern architectural language with the warmth and authenticity of traditional alpine materials, creating a home that feels both grounded and refined.

The design is defined by a composition of pitched roof forms, natural stone walls, and deep timber overhangs that integrate seamlessly into the mountainous terrain. Large glazed openings frame panoramic views of the surrounding pine forests while allowing natural light to animate the interior spaces throughout the day. The architecture emphasizes a strong indoor–outdoor relationship, extending living areas toward sheltered terraces and landscaped outdoor spaces.

Internally, the house is characterized by a warm and tactile material palette, combining exposed stone, dark timber ceilings, and soft natural textures to create an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. Central fireplace elements anchor the living spaces, reinforcing the sense of retreat and connection to the mountain environment.

Kyper House P1 explores the balance between contemporary living and regional identity, delivering a timeless architectural expression rooted in the landscape and climate of the Cypriot highlands.
