Edge-A5

Edge-A5 is an A-frame dwelling set high within the Cypriot mountains, anchored carefully into a challenging slope where architecture negotiates directly with terrain. The house emerges as a precise geometric cut against the skyline, its triangular profile both structural solution and spatial idea. The expressed frame follows the gradient of the land, allowing the building to touch the ground lightly while securing itself along the edge of the hillside.
Positioned at elevation, the project captures cinematic, uninterrupted views across the valley, with sunsets entering deep into the interior and warming the timber structure in amber light. The ridge line acts as the spatial spine of the house, organizing compact, sheltered living areas beneath the sloping roof. Inside, low edges and warm materials create a sense of intimacy and protection, contrasting the vast openness beyond the glazing.
Edge-A5 explores the balance between exposure and refuge — a retreat suspended between mountain and sky, where clear geometry, elevation, and material warmth produce a quiet atmosphere of comfort above the landscape.
